Deeply discounted Missoni...

It's been my experience in the past that if you return something to Target that was an "online only" item (but returnable to the store) then they put it back out on the sales floor and automatically discount it to 75% off. Don't ask me why they do this; I've just seen it happen multiple times. So it didn't surprise me earlier this week when I saw this Missoni for Target "romper" - which initially looked like a top to me, but I guess it's a "onesie" that you're supposed to sleep in - at my local store marked down to $9.99 (down from $39.99). The re-ticket clearly stated that it was an "online only" item, hence the steep markdown.

So if you have a keen eye - and keep checking your local stores for Missoni online returns - you may just score yourself a bargain!

I've seen them too - but I didn't really like any of the "online" only items! Bummer. It would make a great score. I did see a cool Ipad case, wish I had the Ipad to go in it!

Saw this at my Target too. Pretty scimpy--my daughter thought it was a shirt at first too. The rainboots and the pumps are also everywhere.

My Sister saw the onesie at her local store and thought it was unwearable, and needed work to be made into a top. And they were not onsale at her store.
Good tip on your find, though!

I saw this same item last night at the MV store but it was tagged at regular price (either $30 or $40, can't remember). Shucks!!!

this happened to me as well. got a shirt for $10. but also had a bad experience with an "online item" that was on the sales rack at my store (had an entry on my blog about it). they wouldn't sell it! had to call target.com up and they finally allowed me to purchase it (full price)

I haven't noticed any online things, but it is funny how things are starting to be returned now. In our Target, they took all the signage down for the clothing, but they have this very small rack, that I notice every time I go in, there are some new returns.

I bought some gloves the other day and some tights for my daughter.

Yeah, that totally happened with a Calypso St Barth Tunic Top that was a size XS petite. I am not am xs petite, but it fit like a regular small top, which is my size, and for $6 (!!!), I was all over that junk. :)

Good luck to all, hope some magic missoni dust is present when you all go shopping!

Yesterday I saw bedding, shower curtains, dishes and shoes and some of those rain boots that crack pot lady is trying to sell for $31,000!

My 2 stores both had several of the brown zigzag rolling suitcases today. Maybe an ebayer with no bids?

Yep, the returns keep trickling into stores. Yesterday I was able to score several pairs of socks (which I bought as "stocking stuffers") and a tie for my husband, as well as one of the soy candles.

I saw two zig zag travel bags,a coat, gloves, travel pillows, a rolling suitcase, and tons of framed pics. None of it looked appealing.

I've noticed that with the online only item returns. I got some Miss Trish sandals that were returned for about $7 this past summer, and 3 years ago, I got my now stepdaughter's dress to wear in my wedding for $5! It was beautiful and exactly what I wanted for her. I couldn't believe it because I'd been trying to find just the right thing for her for months.

I got a Missoni blouse yesterday-the cashier initially would not sell it to me because she told me it was online order only. (there was no price tag on it) I asked for a manager and he let me have it for $9.99!
