"There's a delay in your order"

You don't ever want to get an email from Target with the title "There's a delay in your order". Yet that's exactly what I got this morning, regarding the additional Missoni for Target order I placed after my early Tuesday shopping trip.

My iPhone cover (shown) and my coveted black & white sweater coat (now sold out) are delayed until the end of the month. Will these items ever actually show up? Honestly, I don't have much faith that they will. With the multiple site crashes on Tuesday, I'm sure that Target's orders are all screwed up, and they potentially put through more transactions than they actually have inventory for.

that sucks! to say Target drop the ball is an huge understatement. Had I known/seen it at my store, I would had bought it for you and just ask you to cover the shipping charges.

I snagged one of those green corduroy coats today-someone must have returned it. I also got a duvet set, but other than some baby clothes and some comforter sets, my store-in the Bronx is wiped out, and has been since about 10.00 the day the collection arrived. I am very disappointed, to say the least..

When you blogged about ordering more items, that was my first thought. Will they actually have those items to ship? I don't think they will; just like they will not have anything more to restock the shelves.

Good luck on getting the items!

I got the same message this morning for a couple of coats that I ordered. Not too upset about it because I was thinking about returning them anyway, but I hope I don't get that message for the other items I ordered!

i got two of these "delayed shipment" notices yesterday but just received shipping notices for two shipments from a single order. I still have three items that have yet to ship.

I'm really disappointed with Target which has been one of my favorite stores for years. Their sloppy website checkout and abysmal customer support really made the Missoni launch a huge disappointment for many of its loyal fans.

I hope they make a serious effort to reach out to their fans and figure out some kind of restitution... Either they need to release more Missoni products or offer a gift card or something...

how about this: one of my two orders shipped, but NOT the one that i purchased "expedited" shipping for! AND, the order that did ship? they gave me a tracking number for a package that was delivered somewhere in june of 2010. when i tried to call customer service, i was greeted with a recorded message that basically told me to give up and try again another day. target has lost me as a customer. this is a disaster.

I received the same delay for two cardigans I ordered! I don't care about a delay but if it gets cancelled, I'll be pissesd off. My order logged in at 6:15am. I did get a confirmation for a pair of tights though :(

To the last poster-I once rec'd a UPS tracking number that showed a delivered item from a year ago. I was told UPS recycles numbers. It was from a different retailer (not Target) and I did receive my order. I can't remember if my tracking updated but I clearly remember thinking it was weird.

got the same email. I'll be disappointed if the items never show up but I can certainly wait for them as I really didn't need any of it anyway. one of the items delayed was NOT a Missoni item. I also think Target was overwhelmed by the response but I'll still shop at Target. Its not the end of the world.

I am not at all surprised that I got the dreaded email. I thought that it was a miracle that my two online orders even pretended to process.

I am going to hold off on making any ebay purchases until I see what ships, if anything and have the opporunity to see what the sizing is like.

Has anyone reviewed the missoni women's line for sizing? I wear a 0 or Petite 0 in J crew so obvs I ordered everything in XS. I have noooooo idea how these items will run on length and I am prob in the minority in hoping that everything runs super short as in the Go! collections.

This is when the "website redesign" is proving itself to be a bad effort. I got the delayed emails and was asked to log in and confirm I wanted later delivery. I tried, it wouldn't accept my password 4 or 5 times. Then I got logged in and couldn't get to my order 5 or 6 times. I got to my order and got an error screen each time I tried to cofirm later delivery. I tried to click the help link 6 or 7 times and got an error screen. After numerous attempts I got the contact form to come up and I emailed them all the information about my website issues and requested that they confirm that I wanted to wait for later delivery since I was unable to. Haven't heard a peep since, I'm guessing my orders will end up getting canceled because I didn't confirm. Between their gross underestimation of the popularity of this line and their huge website issues, this has been one big cluster-you-know-what.

I commented earlier but wanted to give everyone a POSITIVE update. I initially received a notice saying part of my shipment (two cardigans) had a pushed back ship date but that a lone pair of tights were shipping. Well, guess what. Today, I received the cardigans but no tights. Whatever, I'm glad the cardis arrived as those I really wanted. I just think it's weird that on Target's site, they are still listed as not shipped. The whole thing is F'd up. But I wanted to share so people wouldn't give up total hope!
