Grand Opening: Target Manhattan

Today marks the grand opening of Target’s first Manhattan store (in East Harlem, to be exact). You can check out pictures of the new store and its merchandise – some by local Harlem designers and exclusive to just this location – on Racked. And for pics of celebrities, designers and models who attended the event – including Michelle Trachtenberg, Tracy Reese, Bethany Frankel and Kelly Rowland – check out UpTownFlavor.

The only thing about this that disappoints me about this: I frequently visit the city and be cause I shop at Target, I am wearing clothes that for once are not available in NYC. I get to wear clothes no one else there has access to, and I am frequently asked about. Bummer. Now everyone will be going there and buying my clothes. LOL

. I love any person who is willing to go out of their way to help right a wrong. It's so cool that people are getting fired up and paying attention to so many issues lately. No more Target for me , and I too will write a letter to Target voicing my concerns. Now if Sax , Barney's of New York or Tiffany and Co. start this practice we really might have a problem. Most Gay men I know would not be caught dead in a tacky,"made in China" Target store anyway. Love You, Susan
