Here's the thing: the boxes used to be offered seasonally, and were free. Obviously, they would run out quickly, and customers got frustrated over not being able to get their hands on one. Now Target rolls them out monthly (usually on the first of each month) PLUS they charge for them (around $7-10). This month's box costs $7 and is claimed to be a $32 value, and contains the following:

These have gotten a lot better than use to be, and for the price you can't beat them! Last month there was a full bottle of shampoo.
These can be a good deal (especially because they often include some full-size items, and even the trial sizes are great for travel), but I stopped getting them because I was doing a lot of beauty sampler boxes and ended up with a bunch of stuff I'll never use. My rule for the Target boxes now is I have to specifically want at least 50% of the stuff in there before I order.
