Some people are addicted to love. Others are addicted to drugs. I'm addicted to Target. Seriously....

Double-Take: Pottery Barn vs. Threshold
It's time for another double-take, where we take one item from Tar-shay and match it up against a lookalike - yet pricier - designer piece. Today we're looking at two very similar sets of wide-striped curtains in grey and white. But one of them is the Pottery Barn Classic Stripe Drape, which will set you back $199 for a set of two. And the other is the Threshold Bold Stripe Curtain (from Target) and is only $29.99 each (meaning $60 for a set of two). Which one is which? The answer appears in the comments section below.

The set on the left (with the slightly wider stripe which I actually prefer!) is from Threshold (at Target), whereas the set on the right are the more expensive ones from Pottery Barn.
I realize Macy's and Target are basically related... but it's still fun to find the exact same items (same brand) on each other's website.... with Target's being at a much better cost. The Macy's versions of these tray are on sale (as well as Target's) so the price has come down substantially... but Macy's price started at a much higher price point that the regular prices at Target.
Round trays in copper and tin.
Here's the copper version at both stores:

Love your blog - look forward to it every day.

The only reason I got this right is bc I recognized something else in the picture. Pretty drapes & Target Threshold is a great line.
Wow, I assumed the left was Pottery Barn and the right was Target. I thought the wider stripes looked more expensive.
Thanks for the tip, JJ Walleye! I'll blog about it today. FYI: Target and Macy's no longer are owned by the same parent company. I think the split came about 10 years ago.
Thanks Target Addict -- I don't know how I missed that about Target and Macy's! Good to know!
