Double-Take: Z Gallerie vs. Threshold

It's time for another double-take, where we take one item from Target and match it against a similar - yet pricer - piece. Today we have two attractive glass lanterns with sturdy rope handles.  Both of these nautical-inspired pieces can be filled with a pillar candle and sand - or other found objects - of your choosing.  But one of them is by Z Gallerie and costs almost $50, whereas the other is by Threshold (at Target) and only costs $26.99. Which one is which?  The answer appears in the comments section below.

The lantern on the left is by Threshold (at Target) and the one on the right is the more expensive one from Z Gallerie.

Hey TA - do you know if the Paul Frank for Target deal is ending or has ended? I haven't seen much of Julius Monkey around the bullseye lately. My kid is straddling the 5T/boys XS line these days and the toddler stuff just seems so much cuter.

Hi Unknown: I'm not sure about Paul Frank. Last I looked I still saw their stuff, but it seems to me that they always had more PF merchandise in Fall/Winter (gearing up for the holidays and gift-giving season) than other times of the year.

Pottery Barn also makes a very similar lantern. I believe it's called 'Hyannis'.
