Orla Kiely returns to Target...

Orla Kiely fans will recall the fanfare when the Irish designer teamed up with Target back in 2009 for the Orla Kiely for Target home collection. The colorful, energetic assortment - which was soon a sellout - included items such as printed laundry bags, plates, tapered totes and tablecloths.

Then last Fall, Orla collaborated with Method on pretty-patterned bottles for their hand wash and gel products, available exclusively at Target. That collab continued this Spring, with new colors, prints and scents.

Now Orla is teaming up with Target yet again, this time to debut a fun, feminine collection of iPhone and iPad accessories. Shown here is a preview, and you can read a short interview with Orla about the design inspiration for this line here on A Bullseye View.

Such a sucker for Orla Kiely. I just ordered a utensil holder of hers from Fab.com. I have saved the plastic Method bottles from Target for refill. I even have an Orla Kiely purse...

Do I now have to switch to an iPhone just to get the Orla Kiely cover? I have a problem...

I wanted to post an update. I went to Target this morning and they had no idea what I was talking about. I pulled up your link on my phone to show them. The SA looked it up on target.com and said they were all online. I said the press release stated in stores and online. I asked very nicely if he could check the item number against inventory in store. He did and lo and behold, they were all in the back. He said they had no notice of this new stock or he would have had i merchandised, which I believe as we all know Target collabs can be a disaster for rollouts.

He brought every item out to me. My Super Target had three of each item, each print. The stock was fairly small---he brought it all out in the shopping basket and it only filled it half way. I imagine the eBay poachers will have field day with it due to the low stock in each store.

I got the stem print in the iPhone 5 case and a cute wristlet/wallet for the phone, plus the iPad cover. Everything is made well and durable---my husband was with me and inspected throughly as I tend to be accident prone so for me, cases are more than decorative.

So, if your store does not have the product out, make sure to ask them to pull it out of the back. The products are merchandised in the electronics section.

I appreciate you posting this collab! I would have never known. I'll have pictures of the product I got up on my blog later this week: Musings by Jacquelyn.

Thanks for your excellent update, Jacquelyn! I guess it makes sense for this line to be located in the electronic accessory aisle, since the cases are made by Belkin. I just checked the selection online at Target.com, and I'm happy to see that they offer both iPhone 5 and 4 cases, since so many people (me included!) still use the i4.

Hey Target Addict - if you or any of your readers still need an iphone case/wallet or ipad cover in Orla prints, check out the AT&T store, they have several (including stem print) at super-ultra-clearance prices. Much cheaper than Target! I found this randomly yesterday and needed to share!
(go to www.att.com/shop/ and search for Orla Kiely.) I am not a spambot nor do I work for AT&T or OK :-)
