Product Review: Josie Natori for Target

I also saw a sad little display for the new Josie Natori for Target collection yesterday. It was shoved to the far end of the intimates section, almost overlapping into the maternity department, with no signage to speak of. I really had to hunt to find it!

Perhaps this particular store didn't put up any signage because of the lack of Josie stock they received. The collection only has 15 pieces to begin with, and this store only carried the red printed knit PJ pants (with no matching tops), the red hipster, the jersey printed chemise, the black wrap robe and the printed silk-look PJs. From what I saw, I was pretty underwhelmed... but I'd like to see MORE of the collection to be able to really weigh in. I did buy a pair of the printed PJs (shown) for my mom as a birthday present, but other than that, I didn't find anything for myself.

UPDATE: as noted by reader Judy C., this line tends to run small. I'm about the same size as my mom, so I tried on the PJ pants to ensure they'd fit, but alas, they do not. I'll be exchanging them for a larger size today, and if my store doesn't have it, then I'll just return them.

I tried Natori items bought elsewhere. I ended up taking them back. All of them. Then I saw a pic of Natori and understood somewhat. I am busty. She is not, at all. The items were made small, very small. When a large in any other brand fit, an extra large in Natori was too tight. I hope things have changed since then.

There was also only one little rack in my store also, with hardly anything. Pretty shabby treatment if you ask me...

The website is down again. Wish they would get this fixed!

Amy, I went to another store in my area today and they had NO Josie Natori whatsoever! Zip, nada, zilch! I wonder what this issue is - ?

I was looking forward to the Natori pieces because I work a lot at home and like to wear loungy/pajama stuff. I have a chunk of the Paul Frank sleepwear because it's fun. I wasn't as interested in the lingerie per se. Not my thing.

No Natori in Culver City. No Natori in Manhattan Beach. Finally some Natori in Hawthorne/Inglewood - with no signage. They did have a half decent selection there, filling a couple racks. I bought the cotton print pajama pants, and I really like them. The black trim and piping is cute. I then went online and ordered the black long-sleeved T to go with them - so I think it will work out in the end. The short black robe was pretty, but I can't see myself wearing it.

Hate to say it, but you have to be judicious with the "theme" when you're Asian. I have to watch my dragon/cherry blosson/crane intake so as not to look like an extra on a movie set.

But I agree that the treatment for this line has been very odd.
