Target Sheds Name From Logo

Mimicking Starbucks - who last week announced they were dropping the text from its trademark mermaid logo - Target has also decided to go nameless and has shed its name from its iconic bullseye logo. The retailer removed the word "Target" from its Web site this week (as shown in this screen capture from this morning) leaving its well-known, red-and-white bullseye to speak for itself.

Very interesting development. I wonder if that was in the works before Starbucks (btw, no apostrophe in their name) debuted their new nameless logo.

Thanks for the spelling catch! I went ahead and fixed it :-)

Sure thing! I love your blog, by the way! I think my middle name could be "Target Addict"! :)
