Falchi fails to impress...

Today I found the Carlos Falchi for Target collection - out one day early - at my local Target. So, of course, I had to check it out. From my post earlier this week, I pretty much knew what to expect... and true to advance reports, the Falci line failed to impress me. I did buy the bag shown (at $29.99) but only as an "impulse buy", so I'll let you know if it ends up in a future installment of The Returns Department.

Contrary to what's shown, this bag is ALL black, and not a mix of black and gray as the picture suggests. I DO like the punchy print fabric lining inside the bag; it's a fun floral in reds/greens/tans with the Target Bullseye logo thrown in there. This bag (IMO) seemed the most "upscale" of the bunch in that it was made of solid faux snakeskin and didn't have the "pieced together" look. I know that Falchi is known for that, but somehow the faux snake material and the patchwork motif just did not work in the other colors.

That's too bad! I was excited for the line to come out. :( The bag you picked out looks super cute though!

I saw the bags at the store yesterday and thought they were quite meh. The black one is the best looking of the bunch, but I've seen plenty of black faux snakeskin bags around.

After reading this blog I too went to Target to check out these bags. I was leaving for a wedding and I needed a cute black bag. I bought the smaller one, took off the made for target CF logo metal tag. It worked perfectly slightly dressing up my outfit. I received many compliments on the bag too!
