Double-Take: Pierre Dumas vs. Merona

Since yesterday's post, I must still have "sandals on the brain", which led me to today's double-take. These two pairs of gold ruffled flat sandals look awfully similar, don't they? The difference is that one is from Pierre Dumas on Piperlime, and is $39 (which, admittedly, ain't a bad price for Piperlime shoes) and the other is from Merona at Target and is on sale this week for just $12. Can you guess which on is which? The answer appears in the comments section. And, for what it's worth, I actually like the styling of the Merona pair better.

On the left is the Pierre Dumas “Devora” gold ruffle thong sandal, $39 at Piperlime. And on the right is Merona’s “Evelin” sandal, on sale this week at Target for just $12.

I guessed correctly, but only because I had seen that Merona shoe in the store. I agree, Target's is cuter.

There are some other shoes at Target right now that are dead-ringers for some of Tory Burch's sandals.

Target version looks more like the Steve Madden's. (Not sure if they're available this season.) I bought a similar pair from gojane.com last year and I could hardly tell the difference when looking at my coworker's $50 pair.
