Target's new price-match policy...

Target has extended its holiday price-match policy to a new universal Price Match Policy that matches prices from top online retailers year-round, including Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com and ToysRus.com.  The story was featured on Good Morning America this morning, and you can watch it here.  What does that mean for you?  Well, if you see a lower price for the same item  - for example, on Amazon.com - take it to the Customer Service desk at Target and ask them to look it up on the competitor's site.  If the CSR verifies that the item is indeed sold by less at the other retailer, they will honor the other retailer's price.

Just another reason to love Target. *sigh* I am also an addict...

Perhaps you should write a post about their optional replacement warranty thingy. Maybe this is old news? It's new to me, I just noticed it on some items on the website. I was considering buying a cheap $30 Nesco food dehydrator from Amazon, the reviews are "great... until it breaks". I want to get into dehydrating and figured $30 was a good place to start, and resigned myself to the fact that if I am digging the dehydrating thing I'd have to buy something better when it broke a few months later. Then I saw the same unit for the same price at Target but for an extra $4 they will guarantee it for two years, which is something you won't get from Amazon. And looking up reviews of Target's replacement policy yielded nothing but good ratings from what I saw. Sounded hassle free, which is pretty much what I'm used to from Target. I'm seriously excited about this!!!

Now if only they could fix up their return procedure.

A forum friend had a ridiculous time trying to exchange a damage suitcase from the Neiman collection. The process that she had to go through to take care of it.

That is pretty cool!!

They did not do price adjustments, do they? I remember a while back buying something online and by the time I got it, it had already been marked down. When I went to the store and inquired about a price adjustment, I was told I had return the item and re-order it online. The Gap and Nordstrom does price adjustments which is wonderful!

Allison: thankfully I've never had an issue returning anything broken or damaged to Target. Sorry your friend had such issues.

And Tina: I'm not entirely sure what Target's policy is about price adjustments. Target's FB page has a lot of complaints indicating that they do NOT honor them, yet I know I've read on other blogs that people were granted price adjustments on the NM collection items they bought on full price (once they went on sale).
