Some people are addicted to love. Others are addicted to drugs. I'm addicted to Target. Seriously....

Target's new website unveiled!
Well that was fast! I thought that Target's new site wasn't set to launch until next week, but lo and behold, it's up and running this morning. Check out the new look/feel; the design seems cleaner and easier to navigate, IMO. Most importantly, I read the new site FAQs, which states that if you previously had an Amazon.com account with Target, your account was transferred to the new Target site. All you need to do is reset your password. [Note: This will only affect the information associated with your Target.com account. Any information associated with your Amazon.com account will not be affected].

LOL....my husband just commented to me that with the red band at the top, Target's new site looks a LOT like my blog ;-)
I just went to Target site to check their coupons and all the links are broken....guess they have some kinks to work out.
I just went there too, and couldn't get on the wedding registries, or the coupons. Maybe the launching was too quick :(
Andrea and Elizabeth, I totally agree. I was just poking around the site, and there are MANY broken links, false search results, errors on the page, etc. etc. Looks like they have a lot more kinks to work out!
I dont like this new target.com at all... Old website was 100000% times better
I'm not liking it. It looks pretty, but it doesn't function for me. Too much scrolling. Too much white space. I love the pictures, but they aren't adding to my experience of shopping.
I hate the new site so far. I had a registry there using my Amazon.com log in info and I can't access it at all. It's been 4 days since i've been able to get in and when I called customer service at Target they said it could be weeks before it's fixed! Wish they had worked out more of the kinks before launching the new site.
Readers, I have to agree...this new site has a LOT of issues! Two kinks I disovered today were:
1) I tried to buy 4 items that clearly stated "free shipping on orders over $50" (and my order totalled $70) but they were still trying to charge me shipping for them.
2) when I tried to email customer service about the issue, the email form was "broken"!
Very frustrating indeed!!
Hate it! Had totally ruined my baby registry! So wish I would have gone with another store!
Visually, the site is HORRIBLE. Target just took a HUGE step back in a world where they have always been leaders. I had to get off the site because I could not stand looking at it or navigating it.
The new site is soooo broken. Clicked on help and got a page that says "Needs Content". Can't submit any forms either.
Ok - it's been almost a month and the new target website is still broken in many area's...images don't load right, it's almost "too" clean..come-on usability team at target, what's going on here??
Target dropped the ball with the new website. A full month later, and things have not gotten better. The new one looks like a high school project. Even obvious things like the resolution of the huge Target logo is off. (jagged edges, come on!) Broken links are still there, the new ordering system SUCKS, and it is counter-intuitive to navigate.
The new website did not help the whole Missoni launch either. I'm sure it was a major part of the problem. I am really upset with Target. I was a loyal customer, but throwing this half-baked website out there (as an initiative to save money I'm sure) is NOT the way to go. Forget needing a professional UAT (user acceptance test) team for this, anyone off the street would've thumbed this down. Do not appreciate them using customers to test user experience.
My only hope is they do the right thing and roll back to the old Amazon.com run website. Their new was NOT ready to go live.
The new website has left me pulling my hair out! It freezes constantly and won't let me view items. I had three items in my cart, which took forever to pick out, and now I can't even get to the cart to pay. I got to this page by googling "I hate Target's new website". I'm buying what I need somewhere else.
Hey Target Addict,
Maybe you can help me. I'm trying to find a screen grab of the "New" Target.com site. It's been changed since it launched in 2011, August. Do you have any screen grabs? Or... do you know why the design changed? :)
Help!
Thanks, andrea
