Although the Blythe dolls are the models for the upcoming McQ Collection for Target, they were not the inspiration for the line. Alexander McQueen apparantly used rocker Leila Moss, lead singer for the British rock band The Duke Spirit (pictured here, and whose music is included on the McQ for Target microsite) to get his creative juices flowing. Serving as his muse, she inspired a color palette for his collection of predominately blacks, grays and white along with shocks of bright blue and magenta to generate visual pops.
