Target to announce next designer collab tomorrow...

Tomorrow - January 6th - Target will announce their next designer collaboration. And apparently, there is wild speculation that it will be Kate Spade. This rumor isn't so farfetched, as the KS brand has already produced multiple collections with Keds, has teamed up with Gap Kids, and just debuted a new line for West Elm. Notice I say "brand", as this would be more of a brand-collab (like Liberty of London) vs. designer collab (like Phillip Lim) as Ms. Spade sold her namesake company back in 2006 (although she allegedly is still "active within the brand" and retains the rights to create some brand extensions with the name).

Whaddya think, readers? Would you be excited to see a Kate Spade X Target collection?

That would be awesome. I am just getting tired of being excited for cool designer collaborations and then being disappointed with the actual collections. I don't think I have loved anything since Missoni.

Yes!!! Bring it on! I would be extremely excited to see KS x Target collab since I love the brand's aesthetic from afar (but I just don't spend that much on fashion items!) I do see this possibly causing mass pandemonium like Missoni. And I wonder if it would be tricky avoiding competition and making the collab sufficiently novel considering the brand does have the lower-priced Saturday line. Thanks for the heads up...I will be watching to see what materializes tomorrow.

I would love to see Kate Spade. My favorite one was Liberty of London. Missoni left a bad taste in my mouth with the creeps that took all of it and sold it on eBay. For some reason, Liberty wasn't as bad and I got many pieces. I see though that it is in fact Lily Pulitzer that is the next one. Not a huge fan, and now that they have done this with the plus sizes, I don't think I can support this. I'm tired of groups of people, namely the plus size group, having to hide in their homes and shop on line, like they aren't worthy of buying in the store!
