A reporter at
Business Insider went ahead and reviewed
Target's new mens brand
Goodfellow & Co. You can read
his first-hand account here, but to summarize it for you: he found it on-trend, but ill-fitting. One telling detail is that the reporter - who's a slim fit himself - found several items even too slim for him. That's a shame, because not all men (my hubby included!) are built slim, so it seems like Target is leaving out a whole segment of male shoppers.

That is a shame because I thought maybe Target had finally gotten it's act together in the men's department....
When I saw your original post about Goodfellow & Co. I went ahead and looked at the offerings online. I have long complained about the serious lack of style and fabric choices offered in the Men's department at Target... I was sadly unimpressed.
While buying some necessities late last night, Target closes at midnight here, in preparation for the impending doom of Irma, I wandered over to the Men's not even knowing the new roll-out had occurred and I was stunned. Not only are the new Merona products fab, but Goodfellows is gorgeous. This is the reason online shopping is just silly. I would never have known how great the fabric choices are for this line if I hadn't seen them myself. I sadly did not have time to try anything on, just to much to do. But visually Target has hit a home run. I am so impressed. I counted at least 25 items I want, if they fit properly. Maybe I will have another visit just before the hurricane and try some stuff on. My ONLY complaint is that the shoes, which are also on point, are all vegan leather. Meh. These clothes are definitely in competition with Zara & H&M. I will comeback and comment with a follow up one I try some things on for size. I gotta get the shutters up first.
After reading the BI review, I am concerned, I am the same size as the reporter. I think maybe his store had not completed the stocking because there are plenty of every size at the store I visited, I can try on mediums as well. I think the review had lots of positives about the line, so not a bad review. I look forward to my next visit.
G + Co's initial sell-through has been phenomenal. Key items are already on advanced restock status.
Critfur: stay safe from the storm! And later on, when you have a chance to try things on and test them out, i"d love for you to share your impressions on Goodfellow :-)
Thanks, I will, and I will! :D
