Remember a couple of months ago when I told you
Target was
replacing their old red clearance endcap signs with yellow ones? Well guess what? Now it looks like Target is also rolling out the yellow to their clearance stickers, as shown here. I'm still not a fan. Red speaks "stop" or "look" to me, whereas yellow does not.

Is the color change an attempt to look more like a traditional department store instead of the discount store that Target was created to be? Is bright orange too vulgar? The Target interiors in Minnesota have been changed to fool shoppers into thinking that they're at a Nordstrom department store instead of a competitor of Walmart.
Ann: I'm not sure. But even Macy's and Bloomingdales and other retailers use "red" for their clearance tags, so it seems odd to me that Target is swaying from the norm.
They are a little hard to read too. Don’t make bust out my readers. lol.
