Peter Pilotto marked down to 70% off in stores...

A month ago the Peter Pilotto for Target collection went on sale in stores for 30% off. But it seems to be lingering on the clearance racks, because now it's been marked down further to 70% off.

One item there still seems to be plenty of - at least at my local store - is this Red Floral Belted Dress, which is now just $13.48 (regularly $44.99). I also saw many of the Floral Pants and the Rash Guards leftover. On a whim I tried on the Floral Stripe Top (marked down to around $8) but found it too boxy and unflattering. That makes Peter Pilotto the first designer collab I haven't bought at least one item from in a long time. Hmmm... I take that back. I just realized that I didn't buy anything from the Kate Young or Prabal Gurung collections from last year, either.

Meanwhile online, Peter Pilotto is still marked 30% off, but you can get an extra 10% off with Target's "buy 2, get 10% off" offer.

I think they went into over their heads with this collection. There were so many items to choose from, but it was definitely targeted (ha!) towards a certain demographic. For me, some of the items just didn't fit properly. They were too boxy or too narrow. I did like the one of red shirt and skirt combos, and wish I could have purchased the moto jacket. If I can find a pair of slip ons, I'll get them.

I only purchased a Kate Young clutch after it went on clearance ( I have yet to use it.) and I did buy a few items from the Prabal Gurung collection. I want clothes that a real woman can wear. I'm a curvy 8, and thus far only the Jason Wu and Phillip Lim clothing worked for me. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue.

In any case, from one Target addict to the next, I'll patiently wait for the next collaboration.

This was hands down the ugliest collection to date, and that is why there is so much of it left. Fabric quality and prints were horrible.
