I informed you that
Target designer
Michael Graves had ended his long-running partnership with The Bullseye and was heading over to rival
JCP. Well I just checked out his goods on
JC Penney's website, and some of them are really cool. Even better: many of them are currently on sale, like
this neat little business card holder (which is on clearance for just $7.99, down from $29).

I think everything is on clearance. I think that partnership has ended too.
Eeek! Thanks for the heads-up, Critifur! While I couldn't find anything specific on the web about Graves leaving JCP, I did find a business article from last July stating that their new "Design Shops" weren't doing as well as expected. To quote: "J.C. Penney’s new home department was supposed to help lift the troubled chain out of its downward spiral. Instead, the biggest piece of [the] department store transformation is sitting pretty but empty, New customers who were supposed to be attracted by Jonathan Adler, Michael Graves and Sir Terence Conran haven’t shown up in the numbers that Penney needs."
I loved the JCP transformation, and became a new customer. However I mostly just bought clothing. The housewares were really expensive, at least for JCP. I do wonder what they are going to do to fill those spaces.
