Wednesday's Rave: this Converse One Star top

Sometimes it's the simple things that are the best. Case in point: this basic black top from Converse One Star. I was lucky enough to find it on clearance (for 30% off the regular price of $22.99) on Target.com last month, and its already become one of the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe.

Now if you'd asked me whether I needed another black top, the answer would have most certainly been "no". But this one goes with practically everything; it has a flattering, drapey neckline and is made of a super-soft rayon blend. And the length is just right to tuck it into jeans or skirts without it riding up.

Unfortunately, it now seems to be sold out on Target.com. But should you find it on the clearance rack in stores, my advice would be to nab one, pronto.

Hi Target Addict!

Ok, altho i've been a target shopper for awhile now, I never followed their fashion to guest designers...that is, until I started to follow fashion blogs :) I'm looking forward to the Liberty of London for target release on March 14th... B/c Im new at this, can you help me wit ha few things? Do all targets put this merch out on the floor exactly the night before the release date? is it ever put out before hand? the reason I ask is b/c my largest Target in my area is 50 mins away so i will have to make a special trip out and hate to waste the time/gas. im thinking the Target that is closer to me ( 30 mins) is a smaller store/working class neighborhood and that may not carry the entire Liberty of London line? Or do all the Targets carry the same designer inventory, maybe in smaller quantities? And do you think the LL line will immediately be available online on the morning of March 14th? This target newbie is grateful for any direction :))

Greetings, Onomahimah, and welcome to my blog! Thanks for your questions. Unfortunately, "not all Targets are created equal", and in fact, it's been my experience that some Target stores "slack" a bit and don't put all the new designer merchandise out on the shelves/racks on the debut date. And a few stores even put the stuff out early (which they are NOT supposed to do) so the short answer is you just never know. Therefore, I'd play it safe and visit the LL line in person at the store that's closer to you on the 14th (no sooner than that). And yes, Target.com should have the LL line available to order online on March 14. Hope that helps!
