Like a lot of other retailers,
Target must be trying to get rid of all their old Fall/Winter merchandise. Fast. Because lo and behold, their
"extra 30% off all clearance clothing" sale is BACK at selected stores. And while I can't imagine Target ever going belly-up, the
Wall St. Journal is reporting today that retailers
"drained by the worst consumer-spending slump in decades and burdened by debt" are expected
"to begin a wave of post-holiday bankruptcy filings." Among those listed in trouble are
Circuit City,
Loehmann's,
Duane Reade,
Claire's,
Bon-Ton and
Bailey Banks & Biddle.
