Target has announced plans to shut down their
“Shops at Target” concept for now, according to the
Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
The shops have featured select independent boutique retailers
such as San Francisco's
The Candy Store, Miami-based
The Webster,
and New York's mens retailer
Odin. Target said that
it may revive the concept at a later date, but for now, the company
wants to focus on direct partnerships with designers, such as the current
Prabal Gurung collection and upcoming
FEED collab.
YAY! I thought “the shops” stunk.
