Tar-zhay gets ar-tay

Target, the megastore for the masses, is offering limited-edition towels in conjunction with Art Basel.

Featuring designs by artists Raymond Pettibon, Ed Ruscha, Karen Kilimnik and Julian Schnabel, the towels retail for $50 a piece …admittedly a bit pricey, but remember that this is all in the name of art.

The towels were initially offered the first week of December in NYC at the Standard and Raleigh hotels, with proceeds benefit the production of New York public art projects. But we non-New Yorkers can still get the towels online here at Target.com.
